Seeber Mr. Aardema successfully argued that, despite his client’s admission of guilt, the plaintiff failed to prove that he suffered any economic damages as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident. Robert Aardema successfully convinced a jury that Menard, Inc., was not at fault in an accident in which wind-blown plywood hit and injured one of its shoppers. Mr. Aardema argued that the accident was too bizarre to be foreseeable. Read more details here. Werkema v. Rockafellow In this case a 29-year-old sued after seriously injuring, and ultimately losing, his right leg while falling down the steps of an apartment building. Clark The jury agreed with the 61-year-old plaintiff that her spinal injury was likely caused by our client, the defendant, but it ruled that the injury was not serious enough to warrant an award.
